Redditor’s who work at cemeteries and grave yards describe the strange and scary stuff they have witnessed.

r/BoredCop

I used to do some odd jobs at the 12th century graveyard in my hometown.

12th century, as in the church and its surrounding graveyard had been in continuous use for at least that long. When you keep burying bodies in the same small patch of ground for that many centuries, eventually the soil has been turned over dozens of times and consists mainly of bone fragments.

You can’t even plant flowers there without accidentally uncovering some teeth or finger bones or something, it’s nothing but fragmented skeletons all the way down under the thin turf. The “soil” sort of resembles seaside shellsand, except on closer examination all the light-colored bits are bone fragments rather than crushed seashells.

Not really scary or unexpected, just a bit eerie until you get used to it. You learn to treat anything recognizable as human remains with respect, and just tuck it away out of sight under the plant or whatever else you were putting there.

Strange people visiting. I worked at the cemetery Jimmi Hendrix is buried at, so lots of weed and people hanging around. We found a dead homeless man behind a mausoleum, smelled him first. One time, getting ready to bury a person, we dug a grave. It was in a section of the graveyard that had very old burials (100+ years), so wooden caskets. My foreman at the time was squaring off the hole with a shovel, then he saw a skull looking right at him. He quickly and quietly pushed it farther into the dirt and told us not to say anything. If the office people had found out, it would have been a whole thing. Digging it up, trying to figure out who it was, etc. Never saw a ghost, but some of the old timers say they did. Not sure if I believe them. Lots of other stories, but that stands out.

We had a late afternoon service once that ran into the evening, it was October so the sun went down early while I was filling in the grave afterwards. Conveniently none of the lights on the loader tractor worked for some reason. No blown fuses or looses wires or anything the lights just didn’t work.

Next day when I reported the issue we went over to the same tractor and the lights worked perfectly fine and they worked fine the rest of the time I worked there.

Former funeral director here. One of our workers cleaned up after everyone had left from a visitation/ viewing/wake. It was about 9pm or later and he saw one last guest walking around in the visitation room. He went to help escort the gentleman out when he discover no one was in there. When he came back in and told us the story and described the visitor. He identified the man in a photo we had at the funeral home, it was my grandfather (family business) who had recently passed.

r/Xaixiu

Not really a cemetery experience, but it was still pretty freaky. My grandparents live out in the middle of nowhere pretty much and is surrounded by woods. On their property, there was a whole family that owned my grandparents property before them. From what I was told they were killed or something like that.

A few years ago, when was still living with my grandparents, a relative that was related to the dead family came up to the property and wanted to remove the bodies from the land. My grandpa was extremely happy about it because he wanted to expand the house but couldn’t because he didn’t want to mess with the graves.

So they got together and stood nearby, watching them dig up four caskets. There were three adults sized caskets and one child sized casket. And they all looked really old. One of the bigger caskets had holes and cracks all over it. That was the one that my grandpa and the other relative was carrying when the body fell out the bottom of the casket.

The body was pretty much bones but it still had old muscle and tissue on it. I remember feeling sick to my stomach as O watched them uncomfortably put the body back into the casket upside down.

Former Funeral director here.

My partner and I had just gotten back to the funeral home from a house call for a 31 year old woman who died of cancer. As we were moving her body from the cot to embalming table we heard an audible click and the radio across the room turned on full volume of static. It’s one of those old radios you turn the volume dial until it clicks to turn it on.

We both looked at each other. He was an extremely religious man and this event visibly shook him and he left not long after the incident. I shut the radio off as I typically used my phone to listen to music while embalming. When I’d finished the procedure and was attempting to move her from the embalming table to a dressing table I heard that click from that old radio and it turned on full volume yet again.

At that point I was fairly freaked out and made my exit not long after. My partner and I never spoke of it again and nothing like that ever occurred to my knowledge before or after.

I work at a graveyard, and just have one thing to say.

Plastic.

Here in Norway graves are protected by law for 20 years, but after that the spots can be “reused”. Usually a grave is fine to reopen after 20 years – the body is supposed to be decomposed and pretty much gone. Now back to plastic:

Between the 50s and 80s it was common here to be buried in plastic, to minimise “smell and leakage”. I’m sure they thought it was a good idea back then, but once we started reusing graves in Norway we realised it is a curse. A lot of bodies are wrapped in plastic, and I’ve myself been part of what was supposed to be a burial at a reused site. The body was about 50 or 60 years old, and should be basically gone, but nope it was not, the plastic wrap it was covered by kept the body from decomposing, and it’s basically just been marinated it its own juices for 50/60 years. The smell was awful, the sight was even worse.

I’m sure this is not the kind of story you wanted, but it’s honestly the bost horrific and bizarre thing I’ve ever been part of.

r/BrutalBob1384

I worked for a county cemetery department years ago. We would go to all the cemeteries in the county and mow or just do basic upkeep. Occasionally people (mainly farmers) would stumble upon some headstones in a field or a stand of trees and we would come out and prod the ground with dowel rods to find more headstones and reestablish the cemetery. Soon after started working there we got a tip about some headstones a farmer found while clearing out a path through some trees for easier access to his field. It turned out to be the oldest cemetery in the county dating back to the 1700’s. After investigating some of the names on the headstones it got really creepy. The story is that before the cemetery was there a school house stood there. The teachers were a husband and wife. It’s not clear on what exactly happened but the students and the husband and wife all died in the schoolhouse. The information we found kind of made it sound like an illness of some kind and they were all quarantined in the school until they all died. After that the school was demolished and the students and husband and wife were all buried right where the school stood. So yeah I’m sure it’s haunted.

When I was in college worked part time at a Jewish Cemetery in reception/office management. The cemetery was closed from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening for Sabbath. We sometimes stayed a bit later in the office on Friday afternoons to get bills out or checks processed. We heard a loud commotion by the cemetery entrance which was locked and only staff could get in and out. The office manager went to see what was going on and made me come with her. We went down to the gate to find an older woman (probably around 70) dressed to the 9’s begging us to let her in. She kept saying she needed to get back. This was in the suburbs of NJ so you needed a car to get around but we didn’t see a car or anything, she was just there in this beautiful dress. We couldn’t open the gate without the Cemetery Manager, so we went to go get him. We brought him back to the gate and no one was there. We looked at video footage of the entrance and you could see us (the office manager and me) talking but there was no one on the other side of the gate. The cemetery manager thought we were trying to trick him. I swear to this day we saw a woman in a fancy dress outside that gate. There were multiple cameras and not a single one picked up anyone on the other side of the gate and you could see the whole gate. All you could see was us. I don’t know if it was a ghost or what. The office manager and I decided not to tell anyone else, but we would mention it to each other every once in a while.

Dow hill forest (kurseong, India)

Dow hills in kurseong is one of the most pleasing sights of India. It has been nicknamed as the “land of orchids”.

However, the town has a dark side to it. The Victoria boys school located in dow hills is a place where a lot of paranormal activity occurs. Most of the town was constructed during the British rule and it is natural for the spirits to infest the old buildings. It gets really cold during the winters so the schools remain closed from December to March.

Even during the holidays people claim to hear the sounds of footsteps, high pitched whispers and screams coming from the school. However, it is not just the school that is haunted, the whole town becomes creepy at night and the locals are scared to even go out alone after 7 PM because of the mysterious sightings. The place is claimed to be haunted since the 18th century as a lot of murders happened there during that time and finding a dead body on the road had become a custom.

Arkashis Das

All the paranormal stuff that occurs within the town is attributed to the dow hill forests surrounding the town. These forests give out a chilly vibe. The forests sometimes become eerily quiet i.e. even the natural sounds of the forest seems to disappear. People get hallucinations while walking in the forests. There is a small stretch of road within the forests known as the death road. The road is believed to be haunted by the spirit of a headless boy who walks on the road and dissappears as soon as it reaches the forest. People often get an intense feeling of being watched near the woods. A woman in grey clothing has also been sighted multiple times. The population of kurseong consisted of locals and students because the place was famous for its schools. The students used to wander in the forests in search for paranormal. Some people believe that these a just rumors but majority of the people have witnessed their fair share of hauntings in the town.

Redditors describe real life instances of still working booby traps that have been set off at historical sites that may have killed or seriously injured archaeologists or their workers.

r/more_beans_mrtaggar

There was an Egyptian tomb where a corridor went downhill by about 60 feet, and then uphill again.

The engineers put dead animals and fresh plants etc in there before they sealed it up. And so the decline/ depression filled with CO2. It stayed like that for centuries. In modern times, when they unearthed the tomb, they found human skeletons centuries younger than the tomb, where people had died trying to get in.

r/power-cube

Found this post by u/KnightIT in an old r/history archived thread:

The answer is, shockingly enough, yes; archaelogist have found booby traps in tombs all over the world meaning that they were not limited to a single culture either and with a little bit of researching you may find countless examples of traps set into tombs. Obviously we’re not talking of the “giant boulder of death that rolls along the path narrowly avoiding killing you” type of traps but according to certain professor Qin Shi Huang fitted his tomb with automatic crossbow very similar to the one we see in “The Mummy tomb of the Dragon Emperor”

Here’s an article to begin your research, have fun discovering how clever (and cruel) our ancestors were http://amidtheruins.com/top-10-real-life-trapped-tombs -temples-and-treasures/

r/hedgster

Valley of the kings has a stair well in one of the tombs where they purposely made the stairwell steep and purposely made steps at odd heights to throw someone’s balance off allowing them to tumble down the stair well and at the bottom is a deep put so they break a limb and are stuck with no way out.

I saw a YouTube video many years ago that I haven’t been able to find since and the details are murky, but I remember the gist of it was that there was a tunnel system under a German city that the Nazis used to stash some of their gold (allegedly). It was mentioned that these tunnels were likely boobytrapped and the German government didn’t want archaeologists messing with a site that was likely wired with bombs in an actual city. I’ve tried to find it again, but all that comes up is the Nazi gold train craze that wound up yielding nothing.

r/No-Bewt

not a booby trap but, in Tutankhamun’s tomb, when it was first actually opened and Howard Carter put his head inside, the entire place had vases with perfectly dried and preserved flowers and reeds… that, as soon as the relatively hot and moist air outside blew in, completely disintegrated.

r/OXD153A53

While not likely intentionally a booby trap, the use of mercury in the mausoleum of the first emperor of China would’ve been particularly toxic.

Georges Seguin

r/SirSureSire

Sort of similar but not really, a lot of “cursed objects” that have been uncovered throughout history we’re really just carrying deadly mold or bacteria that killed the people who took possession of the objects.

r/alexlongfur

Off the top of my head, know some tombs in South America have cinnabar sprinkled in them. No clue anyone has died from it though

Edit: TIL y’all are reading this as Cinnabon and not mercury sulfide crystals

r/WhichSpirit

I can’t think of any traps but archaeologists getting killed or injured on site is not as uncommon as it should be. Personally, I was temporarily blinded on my last dig before leaving the field.

We also have a lot of fun stories too. If you find an archaeologist, buy them a drink and you’ll have a lot of fun.

The Cheltenham Ghost (Real woman in Black? )

The morton ghost later known as the cheltenham ghost was an apparition said to haunt a house in cheltenham, Western England.

The sightings started occurring during 1882 in the Despard family, who lived there at that time. The daughter was first to encounter the spirit. She had heard someone at the door, when she went to check, she found nobody there. While returning she saw the figure of a tall lady dressed in black, standing at the top of the stairs. The figure began to descend the stairs but vanished in thin air.

Most of the sightings occurred between 1882 and 1886 after which the sightings became uncommon. At the time when the sightings were frequent at least seven people saw the apparition while many others heard unexplainable noises.

The eldest daughter “Rose” saw the figure many times and described it in detail in her diary. Other sisters also saw the apparition but at different times and only when they were alone. The ghost would never show up in front of more than one person at a time. Once all four sisters saw the figure in quick succession separately on the route from the drawing room to the orchard. The father could never see the apparition even if it was standing beside him. In total 17 people saw the apparition and each and everyone of them claimed that they mistook it for a living person as it was not like a transparent figure but a solid lifelike being.

Thales Rodrigues de Miranda

The society for physical research investigation did a research about the history if the house and found out that the ghost was a housewife that used to live there in 1860. Nobody knows what happened to her and she became an apparition. Years later the house was turned into a boarding school and there were stories of sightings in the corridor, stairs and in the garden. The book ‘Apparitions of the dead’ is inspired from the Cheltenham ghost and contains complete details of the hauntings.

Princess theatre, Melbourne

Mat connolley

The princess theatre is a 1488 seat theatre in Melbourne’s East End theatre district, Australia and is the oldest entertainment site there.

The theatre started in 1854 by the name of Astley’s amphitheater. In 1857,the name was changed to princess theatre. Since then it has been owned by multiple people and has been torn down and rebuilt multiple times. The last extensive renovation was in 1986,when David Mariner purchased the theatre.

On March 1888, Gounod’s opera “Faust” was being run at the theatre. Frederick baker under the stage name of Frederick federici was performing the role of Mephistopheles. The production was to end with Mephistopheles sinking dramatically through a trap door to signify him returning to the fires of hell with his prize, the unfortunate Dr Faustus. As he was being lowered down to the basement, he had a heart attack and died immediately inside the basement. He couldn’t come to the stage to take his bows and nobody knew about it. When the opera ended, the company came to know about the tragic incident. However, the company and all the stage staff swore that he had been with them during the bows. Nearly everybody on the stage had seen him taking his bows.

This was the first ever sighting of his ghost. Many people have reported of seeing the ghost since then. Sometimes he could be spotted sitting on one of the chairs watching the show. As a sign of respect for many years on opening night a seat would be left for frederici in the dress circle. His ghost was considered as a sign of good luck for the play. Some people have spotted him sitting in the dress circle well dressed, while others have seen him on stage. Some people have witnessed mysterious lights passing through the corridors.
In 1970s during the making of a documentary film, pictures we’re taken. One picture revealed an ashen faced transparent figure. Everybody working at the theatre has experienced some kind of activity at the theatre. They have made peace with it and doesn’t want it to go away.

Wayside inn, longfellow

Daderot/ Wikimedia commons

Wayside inn was built in 1707 in Sudbury, Massachusetts. It was originally built as a house but in 1716 it was partially converted into an inn by the owner. It is one of the oldest inn’s in the United States, so naturally it is considered extremely haunted. The inn was passed down for four generations within the family who made several additions and the name was changed several times.

Bar room

The inn was sold to Henry Ford in 1923 who did several notable renovations which you can see up to this day.

Those who have stayed there, have reported numerous paranormal occurrences. The rooms 9 and 4 are said to be the ones where most of the activity takes place. The spirit of Jerusha Howe (sister of one of the owners) or as people believe it to be, has been sighted by many people. Sometimes inside their rooms, people would feel a strong presence and would see mysterious glows as soon as they would wake up from their sleep. People staying there would sometimes smell a faint perfume smell near the stairway. Sometimes they would feel the touch of an invisible force.

The spirit is an active presence at the inn and since 1900s a ‘secret drawer society’ has been formed by the people. Plain notes are left by the staff members in drawers and several other places so that whenever someone experiences some kind of paranormal activity within the inn, they can write their experience immediately and add it to the inn’s collections. It is believed that Jerusha lived her whole life and died waiting for her beloved, so now even her spirit lingers around the hotel waiting for her love. The inn is now a part of charitable Trust and works both as an inn and a museum.

Alcatraz Island

Alcatraz island is located near the san fransisco bay, San Fransisco, California. The island was named “La Isla de los Alcatraces” ( island of the pelicans) by a Spanish explorer Juan Manuel de Ayala in 1775.

Mike lee

In the 1950s the island was reserved for military use due to its safe location and the army built a fortress and installed cannons to protect the San Fransisco bay, several weapons were kept there for safe keeping. By the late 1950s the island started housing war criminals or military prisoners. As the island was isolated from the mainland by the strong cold waters of the bay, it was an ideal location to hold the prisoners as nobody would dare run away from the prison and if the prisoners would try to run away it’s very unlikely that they can swim through the cold and strong currents of the bay.

Alcatraz basement @TheeCakee

It was converted to federal prison in 1934 and during its operation housed some of the most dangerous inmates most notably “Al Capone” and “Robert Stroud”. A maximum security facility was opened and the prisoners were subjected to adverse living conditions with little to no benefits. The cells were really small and the inmates were sometimes not even let out of prison for more than a week. Many prisoners committed suicide or were killed by other inmates. People who tried to run away would either be captured, shot dead or would drown. Inmates were subjected to a lot of torture.

Alcatraz was shut down in 1963 after 29 years of operating as a federal prison because of the high operating costs and the buildings were deteriorating faster because of the salty sea water. It now operates as one of the most famous tourist attractions in San Fransisco and a lot of tourists visit the island. Due to its brutal history the island is considered to be one of the most haunted locations in the world.

istolethetv/ Wikimediacommons

Tourists have seen or heard things on the island that can only be attributed to the supernatural. Even when the prison was in operation the guards would often witness paranormal activity. The inmates who were not able to flee the island during their life were doomed on the island even after their deaths and the island became a hub of tortured and broken souls. People visiting there have heard unexplainable sounds, cell doors closing or crashing, footsteps and even unearthly screams. There is always an intense feeling of being watched and as there is a lot of negative energy people can sometimes feel this energy and will sometimes have to leave a certain area as they are not able to withstand that energy and they would feel that it’s choking them. Paranormal investigators often visit the island and they are overwhelmed by the mysterious activity and energy on the island.

Tim wilson

Some of the most haunted locations are the hospital, the laundry room and cell block c, however the most haunted among these haunted locations is the D cell block also known as the solitary confinement. People who go there can often feel the air becoming thick around them and can feel the vibrations in their body. It is as if they are not alone and surrounded by a group that they cannot see. Rangers who have to look after the island refuse to go inside the solitary confinement alone.

Alcatraz outside area @Bigmacthealmanac

According to one guard who was at the prison during its operation, one inmate was sent to solitary confinement, within a few minutes the man started screaming that a tall figure with ghostly eyes was attacking him. The guards thought of these as desperate cries in order to get out of solitary confinement. However, the Screaming carried on throughout the night and suddenly there was a complete silence. In the morning he was found strangled to death. People believed that he was killed by an evil spirit and the mystery continued to the next day when the guards counting the inmates counted more people than the total number of inmates present. Everyone was stunned but the figure that the guard had counted vanished in thin air.

Alcatraz library Tim wilson

People who visited the island have heard constant whispering, footsteps, foul smell, moaning and even saw a figure with glowing eyes from far away. Some people have even reported being touched when they have trying to sit inside a cell alone. The island is shrouded with mystery but it still remains one of the most visited public attractions around San Fransisco.

Solitary confinement also known as the hole.

When was a teen a bunch of my friends went through a Wiccan phase. I honestly thought it was a bunch of hooey, but played along for the most part, because hey they could’ve got into drugs or horses instead right?
But despite thinking it bullshit there was one moment that made me question things. Us girls had met up to hang out, and one was brandishing a wooden walking stick. have poured my energy into this totem,” she declared, then started passing it around the room. The others cooed about how they could “feel the power within” as they held it. Course someone handed me the stick eventually. could barely contain my eye roll as took it. As I held the walking stick it sent a tingling sensation up my arms.
passed it on quickly. Not as dramatic as some of the stories here, but gosh that was wierd.

r/Snicklefritz646 This happened a few years ago. I was on a dating site and matched with an attractive person. So, started chatting. We made it to the “plans tonight?” part of the conversation and she told me she was going to play hide and seek with ‘Fluffy”. Pointing out the item in their second profile picture, a bloody rabbit mask. Eh, ok let’s be weird. So,l played along until she mentioned that they would be playing in my basement. thought “How in the hell? Eh, wild guess probably.” lied and told her didn’t have a basement. Immediately, she texted ‘Oh Yeah?” and heard “Snnnniicccckkkllleeeffffrrriittttzzzzz” booming from the basement. won’t lie to you Reddit, I about shit myself. Obviously, I blocked her and froze for an hour before gathered the courage to check my completely enclosed from the outside basement. didn’t find anything, thankfully. I didn’t have a smart device at all and I didn’t have any speakers that could have been hacked. didn’t even have wireless internet at the time. The basement was completely empty. can’t explain it in the slightest.

Not sure if this counts but: When was in high school had this sudden bout of nightmares and sleep paralysis. I wasn’t going through a stressful time or anything and don’t freak out easily. I grew up watching 80’s and 90’s horror films and I normally sleep with total darkness and doors closed. These nightmares were super sudden and happened almost every night. It was constant sleep paralysis where my room was on fire, or there were bats thrashing around above me, or there was a figure hovering over my body and I couldn’t breathe (the classic). Sometimes my speakers let out strange frequency type sounds even when it was switched off. Things would fall off my shelves etc. My mom would always find me sleeping on the couch the next morning with the tv on because it was so crazy. Suddenly it all stopped, and when told my mom She admitted that she had seeked advice from a priestess who engraved a blessing for me on a silver pendant and instructed my mom to place it in my room. She didn’t want to tell me to see if it would work. I’ve never had such episodes since.

This is a pretty mundane story, but feel it captures something of what ‘real’ magic might be like.
used to work in an occult bookstore. We sold mostly psychic nonsense and spiritualist new agey stuff. But there was a book case in the back with the real expensive stuff. And the owner was this real old, real wise man.
This woman used to come in when was working and she’d just talk. For ages and ages. It wasa non-stop stream of bullshit. She knew this, she did that, did you know about this, on and on. She’d suck up a ton of time. If you’ve ever heard the term energy vampire it would apply here. When she left you’d just feel drained.
One day she comes in while the owner is there. She walks up to the counter and starts her shtick and he’s very polite, and listening, but she just sort of runs out of steam. Like, within 60 seconds. She hums and haws a bit and then walks out of the store. It would usually take me an hour to get rid of her and he shut her down in a minute flat, with a smile on his face. I mention it to him and he says, “There’s a circle of protection painted under the floor for a reason.”

While in africa had heard rumors of witchcraft and lighting, belived none of it. One day while has doing humanitarian work in a township (basically big subdivisions of small cinderblock houses) saw a huge red bolt of lighting come out of the sky and hit a shack off in the distance, not a cloud in sight, still have no explanation of how TF that happened, everyone in the township said witchcraft. And gotta say that along with lots of other crap saw ama full believer that witchcraft exists.

When I was about 6 or 7 years old I ran into my bedroom to play, but when went past my bed saw a gray man in tattered gray clothes. He was wearinga beat up trench coat, a white shirt and some plain gray slacks. He looked absolutely terrified that I had seen him. I ran out of the room to find my parents and never saw the dude again. btw does anybody have extra subs I might follow for more of this kind of thing?

was into witchcraft for a little while in high school. was a white witch (or at least trying to be) and got really into tarot cards. Being a dumb teenager didn’t know how to properly use them and instead of using them as an extension of my subconscious, I instead thought of them as their own entity. I would speak to them as if they were they’re own person. I never got good readings from them. After a while of using them, would have a feeling of something watching me around my house especially at night. It would follow me around the house and would be in my closet when I would go to bed. The feeling of anxiety and dread that felt kept getting worse and worse to the point where I wouldn’t sleep at night. At some point stopped practicing and it didn’t go away. It would take a solid few months until it stopped. After it stopped, I went to look for my cards and my crystals. I could not find them. To this day, 5 years later, I still have no idea what happened to them. I have no doubt in my mind that whatever was following me had something to do with it. Tbh when go to my parents house even now still feel like it’s watching me, but it’s not as intense as before.

got into Leveyan Satanism about 2 or 3 years ago and in the book there’s a section that said “don’t pray to the devil himself” or something like. So one night did and nothing happened. A few weeks later had the most vivid dream that stuck with me even to this day. In the dream I’m in one of my old high school classes but all the seats are empty except for the one next to me. I turn my head and see a super muscular guy in a blackt shirt say “| heard you’ve been trying to reach me” at which point his skin turns into a darker color and gets even bigger. We had a long conversation and at the end said “what a waste of time” after said was leaving. Once open the door and take one step out everything was pitch black, silent and cold. What really creeped me out is that at the time was abusing a couple of drugs, so one time my heart completely stopped beating for a few seconds asI was sitting in bed. remember seeing that same door, the pitch black, freezing feeling before my heart started beating again. Doubt it’s related but it totally creeped the hell out of me.

The house of faces

The Belmez faces is a mysterious paranormal phenomenon that started occurring in a private house in Spain.

In 1971, the pereira family started discovering images that looked like faces on the walls of their house. The mistress of the house first saw a face appearing on the kitchen floor. Her husband and son destroyed the floor with an axe but another face appearing on the floor. Family members demolished and reconstructed the floor but the faces kept on appearing in different parts of the house.

The news about these incidents reached the mayor of the town and he ordered several investigations one of which involved cutting out the wall where the face appeared and sending it for testing.

The news spread all over the country and many tourists as well as news reporters started to gather around the family home to witness the mysterious activity themselves.

Many faces have appeared and vanished since 1971 and some of them have even been photographed. Paranormal investigators believe that these images are of the dead. The house became a place of tourist attraction as hundreds of people started to visit the house.

According to a local legend, many skeletons were under the ground near that home. The floors of the house have also been rebuilt several times but the faces keep on appearing. Many investigations have taken place since then but none of them have led to a rational conclusion. People believe this to be the work of spirits while many other consider it a hoax but that’s how all the urban legends and paranormal mysteries are. Right?
